Cops Swarm Miley Cyrus' Home After Getting 911 Call Regarding Intruders

Were there or weren't there intruders last night at Miley Cyrus' home? That is the question.

It turns out there weren't but that's after cops responded to an emergency call! The LAPD thought a crime was in progress and shots had been fired.

Gore Vidal was best known as an author, pundit and raconteur. But the writer, who died Tuesday at 86, also had time for movies � both writing for and appearing in them.

U.S. auto sales increase 8.9% in July

The industry sold 1.2 million vehicles last month, or an annual pace of more than 14 million. Both were in line with most analysts' estimates.

Automakers sold cars at a steady pace in July, with consumers helping the industry overcome a dip in sales to rental car companies and other fleet customers.
