Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to provide fundraising, a donation and lectures to the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy.

The University of Southern California and former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday announced a partnership to establish a think tank that will seek bipartisan solutions to environmental problems, economic policy, political reform and other public policy issues.

UC reaching out to depressed students online

The University of California is hoping to prevent suicides through a confidential online effort to get troubled students to seek help in person.

Twindex Tracks Pols' Twitter Temperatures

Twitter has launched the Twitter Political Index, also called "Twindex," which serves up what its users feel about the candidates in the upcoming United States Presidential election. The index was created together with Topsy, as well as pollsters the Mellman Group and North Star Opinion Research. It measures people's daily tweets that mention President Barack Obama and presumed Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
